Garments

  • AS Colour is our main supplier. We have a wholesale account with them and place weekly orders on behalf of our customers. We do also have accounts with Gildan and other brands on request.

To view the full range of ASColour styles head to their website: HERE!

NOTE: Ignore the prices listed on their website as we have a wholesale account and our prices reflect this.

  • Unfortunately not. We order garments specifically for your order and try to limit the amount of spare stock we have here at the studio as they get faded and dusty in the printing environment.

ASColour do have stores in all major cities however, so we highly recommend giving them a visit to check out all of their options!

  • You can! You can choose to supply your own garments if you wish, at a cost of $2 per item.

All items must be unworn, unwashed, removed of any packaging.

NOTE: You will need to agree to very specific terms and conditions regarding supplying your own garments. We can provide you with more info once you get in touch!

  • Not exactly. We have a minimum order of 10, so if you are happy with a sample order of 10 - then no worries! You are always welcome to start with a small order before committing to a big one.

The reason we don’t print any less than 10 items at once is because screen printing is designed for mass production. The set-up is costly and takes a lot of time.

Should you need 1 single item printed, we would recommend finding a digital printer (Direct To Garment / DTG) in your area. Far more affordable!

Pricing

  • Unfortunately not. The price of a job has so many moving parts that it would be impossible to create a price list for customers as it is all so variable.

Simply contact us for a custom quote or check out our latest bundle deals that we have on offer.

  • The cost of your printing job is made up of the following components:

    - Screen Set-Up Cost

    - Blank Garment Cost

    - Printing Cost

    - Extras (like custom ink colour mixes, kids garments, specialty inks (puff inks).

  • In screen printing, each screen is a stencil which allows ink to pass through onto the garment. So we need to prepare separate screens for each colour within your design, as well as each size variation of your design.

For example, if you wanted to print a small 2 colour logo on the left chest, and a large version on the back, it would require a total of 4 screens.

Each screen costs $50, and we will keep them for 6 months. So should you wish to do a re-print of the same design within that time-frame, no set-up fee would incur.

After 6 months, we remove your design from the screen and re-use them for other print jobs.

Ordering

  • Our minimum order quantity is 10.

We also have maximum order quantities. For any designs needing more than 4 colours, we have a maximum run of 100.

  • Start the conversation by emailing us via the contact form

We’ll send you an order form to fill out - make sure you’ve filled in all the blanks!

  • Once we have all your details, we will email you an invoice which includes our bank details and payment instructions. To speed up the process, send us some form of remittance advice so we know it’s paid, and we’ll get your job underway!

  • Yes, but only to a certain point in the process.

Once you have signed off on your order summary and final printing proof, your order will be in production and therefore we cannot make any changes.

We will make it very clear during the process so that you are well prepared for the sign off.

  • We aim for a turn-around time of 3 weeks from proof sign-off.

All orders are placed in a cue once paid and signed-off, so depending on the amount of orders at any one time, this time may fluctuate and is not guaranteed.

If you are working to a deadline please make this very clear at the time of your order, and we will let you know whether we can or cannot meet your deadline.

If turn-around times are extended due to supplier delays or during high-volume periods like Christmas, we will always keep you well-informed at the time of your order.

  • Yes. We can offer a quick turn-around fee when our schedule allows. Feel free to ask at any time and we’ll do our best to accommodate your due date.

  • Once you’ve received notification that your order is complete, head to our studio at Unit 10, 45A Princes Hwy, Albion Park Rail NSW 2527 (near Coates Hire) between 9am - 4pm on a weekday to collect your goods!

Give us a call as it can be tricky to find 0490 419 761

Artwork

  • The bigger the better!

We prefer high resolution (300dpi) or vector files in either pdf, ai, eps, or psd form.

We can still work with a jpeg or png if needed, but request the file is as high res as possible and scaled to at least A3 in size.

  • Most definitely! See our page on design work for all the details.

  • Sure do! See our page on design work for all the details.

  • No problem! We have designers on hand to help with these things. Any small adjustments can be made before we go into print.

We charge $120 p/h (in 30 minute blocks) for additions/alterations to your design. Contact us and we will provide you with a quote.

  • Yes. To make sure we have interpreted your instructions about your artwork, colour, size and print positioning correctly, we send a proof of your design for your approval before we go into production.

Proofs are provided as part of the printing service, but should you need a range of varied mock-ups to help you settle on a design before going ahead with an order, we can offer this as a stand-alone service of $30 per garment.

    *Prices do not include GST

Printing

  • At our studio, our experienced printers choose to use eco-friendly, water based inks by Permaset over plastisol inks.

Although screen printing is not an inherently environmentally friendly process we do our best to keep our clients and our earth safe. Using water based inks is much nicer on your body as well as the environment. With no solvents used these inks cost the earth less in the manufacturing as well as their disposal. They are also less toxic for our staff.

Our printers have worked with both plastisol and water based over the years and have now chosen solely to use the best ink for you and our planet. : )

  • Our studio setup accommodates a maximum of 6 colours to be printed in a design. However, in the screen printing world less is more!

Feel free to chat to us for advice on simplifying your design to fewer colours to suit your budget. We have graphic designers available to help!

  • Our screens allow for a maximum image size of 28.5cm wide and 39cm tall.

  • Your print should last as long as the t-shirt lasts! Thicker inks printed onto dark garments may crack when the material is stretched, but shouldn’t be visible on a loose hanging tee.

Our inks don’t peel, and fading should only occur after years of washing and sunshine.

  • Yes!

Keep in mind that the more puff we add, some details in your print can be lost. Also, puff inks can crack and peel in time, but should still last years and years!

  • Yes! Permaset offers a range of ‘Glow’ neon ink colours which glow in Ultraviolet light!

  • Yes! We can best match to Uncoated Pantone colours so make sure you give us the Uncoated rather than coated Pantone code.

  • We do! The thing to remember about matching a screen-based colour is that all screens display differently, so you have to allow for a slight variation on what you are expecting.

  • Unfortunately no. We can only print block shapes and colours.

We would suggest finding a digital printer (Direct To Garment / DTG) in your area. Digital printing is much like an office printer printing onto fabric - with no limits on amounts of colours, shades or textures.

  • Currently no, the closest we can get is halftone but watch this space : )

  • We recommend our embroidery service on hats as the outcome is much more quality : )

Embroidery

  • Yes. So you can get all your goods in the one spot : ) Like our printing service, we have a minimum order of 10.

  • Embroidery turn-around times tend to be more varied than printing, but are usually still around the 3 week mark from sign-off of proofs.

We will keep you updated along the way : )

Shipping

  • If you’re not local - no worries! We can arrange to have your order sent to you via courier.

Returns & Refunds

  • When we print your order, we keep an eye on the quality of garments and should we find any defects, we send them back to our supplier to be replaced.

We recommend you look at the size guide provided on their website and use their provided measurements to ensure correct sizing.

We are not able to refund or replace any items once they have been printed on : )

  • During the printing process, we perform rigorous quality checks along the way. Any items that don’t pass these checks will not be delivered to you. We will credit you for the cost of the garment instead.

We can’t offer returns or replacements. If you do wish to discuss this with us, simply drop us an email at hello@softpowerstudio.com.au
